Wolf Schneider is a movie unit publicist and writer/editor based in Santa Fe, NM. She has most recently been the unit publicist for “Passion Play,” "Tooth Fairy 2," “Spoken Word,” “Brothers,” “Appaloosa,” and seasons one and two of the “Crash” TV series, and publicity consultant on "Flicka 3" and "Dead Man's Burden." Previously she was the editor in chief of the Santa Fean, editor of Living West, consulting editor of Southwest Art, senior editor of Movieline, and editor of American Film.
She’s known for her engaging interviews and pop-culture influences. Her attraction to Santa Fe began after seeing the turquoise skies of the West in “Easy Rider” when growing up in New York City. First she moved to Texas to be an FM radio announcer, then to Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles, living not far from the house The Doors sang about in “Love Street” and writing for The Hollywood Reporter. As the editor of the prestigious American Film, she arranged cover stories on Julia Roberts, Jeff Bridges, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Matt Dillon, and collaborated with such outstanding writers as Richard Ford, Alice Adams, Bret Easton Ellis, Alexander Cockburn, and Lance Loud. She moved to Santa Fe to become editor in chief of the Santa Fean, which she elevated to national awareness.
Her favorite place is on horseback and she sides with Socrates that the unexamined life is not worth living—although sometimes she’s content with an extra-foamy skinny latte.
