Wolf in Gregory Lomayesva's art studio
WOLF SCHNEIDER is a movie unit publicist in Santa Fe, NM, who relocated from Los Angeles. She has recently been the unit publicist on SWEETWATER, PASSION PLAY, TOOTH FAIRY 2, SPOKEN WORD, BROTHERS, APPALOOSA, and seasons one and two of the “CRASH” TV series, as well as publicity consultant on FLICKA 3 and DEAD MAN'S BURDEN. She likes to work on indie and studio films.
An award-winning writer/editor, Wolf also edits books and previously was the editor in chief of the SANTA FEAN, editor of LIVING WEST, consulting editor of SOUTHWEST ART, senior editor of MOVIELINE, and editor of AMERICAN FILM.
She’s best known for her engaging interviews and pop-culture influences. Her attraction to Santa Fe began after seeing its cornflower-blue skies in Easy Rider when growing up in New York City. First she moved to Texas to be an FM radio announcer, then to Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles, living not far from the house The Doors sang about in “Love Street.” She wrote for THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER and produced syndicated radio shows. As the editor of the prestigious AMERICAN FILM in Los Angeles, she arranged cover stories on Julia Roberts, Jeff Bridges, Michelle Pfeiffer, John Sayles, and Matt Dillon, and collaborated with such outstanding writers as Richard Ford, Bret Easton Ellis, Alexander Cockburn, Alice Adams, and Lance Loud. She wrote movie production notes in Los Angeles, and as senior editor at MOVIELINE she wrote and edited articles on Catherine Zeta Jones, Michael Bay, Mace Neufeld, and Bret Michaels. California is still never far from her thoughts and she often returns.
Her favorite place is in a creative state of mind getting something accomplished, and she sides with Socrates that the unexamined life is not worth living—although sometimes she’s content with an almond-milk latte and some dark chocolate. Her favorite time of day is dusk, preferably with horses somewhere in the vicinity.
